What We Do

The Edgemoor Citizens Association (ECA) is an all-volunteer civic organization made up of residents of the Bethesda, Maryland neighborhoods of Edgemoor and Bradley Village, as well as parts of Bradley Hills. The ECA's primary mission is to enhance the quality of life for residents of our community through a variety of local events and causes, including:

  • Sponsoring and organizing neighborhood social activities;

  • Enhancing the appearance of the neighborhood through tree plantings and other beautification efforts;

  • Working with local government agencies and utility companies on neighborhood services;

  • Advocating for neighborhood interests on development, planning and zoning issues;

  • Printing and distributing the ECA Neighborhood Directory and maintaining the online directory; and

  • Operating and moderating EC-Net, the neighborhood email list.

Generally, we serve the single-family homes in the residential area of Bethesda that is bordered by Arlington Road on the east, Bradley Boulevard on the south, Glenbrook Road and Hampden Lane on the west and Wilson Lane on the north (see below).

All the adult residents of this area are General Members of the ECA.

The ECA holds two membership meetings, in the spring and fall, each year. All ECA members are invited to attend and the meetings are generally held at the Edgemoor Club on Exeter Road. Meetings are announced in advance by posting a notice on EC-Net, the ECA's neighborhood email group. You can find additional information about EC-Net on the EC-Net page.

If you would like to support the ECA financially by becoming a Voting Member, you can find out more information about that on the ECA Membership and Dues page.
